Seattle was and is the home of art lovers. Charles and Emma Frye and Horace C. Henry amassed important works of arts and went on to establish museums to bring their beloved art works to the appreciative public.

Horace C. Henry's collection focused on American and French paintings while the Fryes collected German and Austrian art. It's high time the two were on view side by side.

The Henry Art Gallery and Frye Art Museum collections have been parsed to create an exhibit celebrating these pillars of the Seattle Art community in Dreaming the Emerald City.
