Toronto
Photographed by Geoffrey James
The heart of the city is said to be its people. Geoffrey James, in his photographic opus, Toronto, takes aim at this old chestnut, choosing to illustrate
the streets, buildings and landscape. Toronto, is all but devoid of people.
In many of the works the city is hard to identify. It could be anywhere in North America, perhaps the world. That may be James' point.
The city of Toronto has something for everyone.
The stark black and white images stand as a testament to the bold landscape that is Ontario's capital.
Toronto has been repeatedly photographed; this is a novel look thanks to
Geoffrey James' wonderful imagery.
