Guo Wei continues with his popular series based on the 'restlessness' of
teenagers. His paintings focus on the intricate body language suggesting
their interrelationships, indifference, mocking laughter and of course the
striving for attention.
He Douling like Guo Wei, a native of Chengu, Sichuan Province, China,
uses his art to express his views on the current family structures of his
homeland. One of the most striking is of a single baby juxtapositioned
before images of Chinese dynasty, a reflection of the country's 'one family
one child' official policy.
