Degas, Picasso, Turner, Whistler and Monet are the entrees in the feast of artistic talent featured between the pages of the July 2004 edition of International Art Treasures Web Magazine. Add Tutankhamun and artwork aboard the Queen Mary 2 to the buffet of splendors. Impressionists, Ceramicists, Sculptors and Contemporary Texas Artists not to mention American West painters are in this issue. Boise, Beaumont and Basel are three of the locations featured. Visitors to Boise have a rare opportunity to view the full sculpture range from one of only four complete collections of the Degas Bronze works. This particular collection is on loan from Brazil. Tutankhamun treasures are making the first trip to Europe in nearly twenty years from their usual home in Egypt. Beaumont has organized a collection of contemporary sculptures from artists that have some connection to Texas. These three cities have a lot to offer the ordinary traveler. July is a perfect time to visit the splendors of Ancient Egypt, the mastery of Degas or the innovative techniques of South Eastern Texas Sculpture. There are many locations to find artistic endeavors. Some across the Ocean, some right in our own backyard. |
