Degas and the Italians in Paris

until 29 February 2004
Royal Scottish Academy Building. The Mound, Edinburgh

The first exhibition that delves into the impact of the Italian artist in Paris on Edgar Degas is currently on display in Scotland. The exhibition comprises approximately 90 works and the artists include Degas, Giovanni Boldini, the Venetian Federico Zandomeneghi, Giuseppe de Nittis and noted Turin sculptor Medardo Rosso.

Degas and the Italians in Paris is an exciting venue to view the influences Edgar Degas had upon the Italians who worked as he did in Paris.

Hamilton: Bermuda

Winslow Homer

Bermuda National Gallery at City Hall, Hamilton
until January 4, 2004

Beautiful Bermuda, situated off the East Coast of the United States, has been a haven for visitors for centuries. Among her favorite guests was Winslow Homer who was inspired to capture the brilliant landscapes, three of which are together and on display at the Bermuda National Gallery at City Hall in Hamilton.

The works are being loaned from the Bermuda-based Masterworks Foundation and form a small part of the Masterworks Collection that has over 1,000 works of art that were inspired by Bermuda and her rich cultural heritage.
