International Art Treasures Web Magazine

January 2004

This month we travel to ancient Jordan and Buckingham Palace in our quest to view the finest art treasures the world has to offer those who appreciate art and culture across the international spectrum.

The Fabergé Collection at the Queen's Gallery is nearing the end of it's exhibition so those wanting to see these impressive treasures need to make the time to do so in the near future.

Petra: Lost City of Stone recently opened at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, the first step on a to-be-determined schedule that will travel North America. HM Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan is the patron of the exhibition.

Ville Vallgren the noted Nordic artist is the feature of a retrospective in Helsinki.

Toronto Artist Inspirations recently closed at the Praxis Gallery where several artists accepted the challenge to paint their city.

Sotheby's has some fabulous auctions scheduled, to state the obvious, including an impressive 19th Century Jewelry Auction reviewed in Auction Action.

Edinburgh, Scotland is the place to be for Degas fans before the exhibition moves on. Great opportunity to view Winslow Homer's Bermuda inspired artwork in Hamilton. Both are reviewed in Worth A Look.

The art of criticism is our Hot Topic this month.
